Business Development Rep

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for sales and marketing pipeline contribution through a mix of inbound lead follow up, prospecting, and qualification activities over a variety of media (phone, email, and social media). This role is fast paced, high energy and thinking on your feet is essential. You will be responsible for the cultivation of more than 600 Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) at any given time making it critical that you be organized. You will make 35 to 45 calls per day to mid-sized and large-sized enterprises with deal sizes ranging from $10K to $5M. Responsibilities:

  • Qualifying inbound marketing qualified leads to produce a consistent flow of opportunities for the sales team
  • Identifying prospective customers’ needs and propose relevant next steps
  • Articulating Apstra Intent-Based Data Center Automation benefits on the phone and in email
  • Arranging teleconferences between prospective customers and sales
  • Engaging key decision-makers and prospective customers
  • Working closely with sales to facilitate product evaluations and assist with deal closure

Network Infrastructure Engineer

Apstra is looking for an IT/Network Engineer in the Bay Area for a full time position. The candidate will deploy and manage our production and testing network in our datacenter, implement solutions to monitor and proactively identify issues and implement security and IT best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Engineering, System Test and IT group to design, deploy and support production development and testing network datacenter infrastructure
  • Deploy new servers and network devices to be used for our production or testing infrastructure
  • Design and implement monitoring solutions, configuration and services backups, security policies and solve IT incidents
  • Work with IT group to implement network security with IPSec, Remote Access VPN, Identity Access Management and RBAC
  • Monitor LAN infrastructure activity and performance for identifying potential security issues, performance, utilization, QOS
  • Utilize available network troubleshooting tools, including network packet captures, monitoring devices, log files, and customer input to facilitate effective issue resolution
  • Create network and server rack face elevations, floor plans, wire diagram and details port maps for new deployments and documentation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Hands on and in-depth knowledge with networking devices such as switches, routers, firewalls
  • Familiarity with Linux Servers and virtualization technologies and products (VMware ESXi, KVM)
  • Familiarity with Storage technologies and products (TrueNAS, NFS)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and utilize troubleshooting skills, systems, and tools, and have presented creative problem-solving abilities under pressure
  • Ability to rack and stack servers and network devices. Requires the ability to frequently bend, lift and move up to 50 pounds of equipment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience with training and certifications
  • 5-7 years hands-on experience working in the IT industry with an emphasis in network engineering
  • Familiarity with multiple Network Operating Systems such as Cisco NXOS, Arista EOS, Cumulus Linux, OpenSwitch, SONiC
  • Familiarity with open source solutions for networking, security and storage, such as PFSense and TrueNAS
  • Open to change and ready to try out Apstra products and features on a real production networks. Ability to work within a global team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited supervision
